Waterloo Gallery, London
Participatory, immersive recording installation/intervention by Bruce Gilbert, Graham Lewis and Russell Mills
Working on a daily basis over two months, utilising redundant industrial machinery found in the former food processing factory building, Gilbert, Lewis and Mills created hybrid musical instruments that were then installed throughout the space.

C-ducer and contact microphones were attached to each “instrument”, which relayed all played sounds to a mixing desk located in an adjacent room.
Visitors to the installation were encouraged to play these “instruments”, which were recorded in real time: on leaving they were offered cassettes of their recorded pieces to take away.
