LIMITED EDITIONS

NEW SIGNED LIMITED EDITION PRINTS AVAILABLE

In response to enquiries regarding the possibility of Mills making available limited edition prints of some of his mixed media works, including personal works and works made to commission for the likes of Nine Inch Nails, David Sylvian and Roger Eno, we are now offering a new selection for purchase: see below.

Works made for Nine Inch Nails’ releases include: Chasm, which was made for the cover of their March of The Pigs release of 1994, and Rope, a piece made for Further Down the Spiral (1995). Also offered are prints of artworks made for NIN’s Closure, the two VHS video set of 1997, which include: Burst; Disclosure and Honey-Split-Band, which were all integrated in the final packaging.

Other new prints include the artwork made for Roger Eno’s 1998 debut album Between Tides, Within Without, made for the insert poster in the Weatherbox box set (1989) by David Sylvian, and Riverrun, made for the cover of the Riverrun album by Toru Takemitsu (1991)

New limited edition prints of Mills’ mixed media works include: Axis; Between Two Lights; Horizons (Out of Place); Older Than Memory; Reternal #6: Time Called Once; Slow Going; Time To Lose; Where To Be Lasts An Instant; Zero The Infinite.

Also now available are selection of five prints made from the thirty-plus digital paintings made towards possible use on My Bloody Valentine’smbv’ album (2013), which were commissioned but not used. These were created in the computer using Mills’ collection of discarded end frames from 35mm colour transparencies, which had been salvaged from the bins of photo labs. Utilising the chance imperfections that have affected the ends of the film – light leaks and flares, over or under exposure, shutter sync malfunction, fogging, and environmental or chemical damage – individual frames were scanned and brought into the computer where, using multiple layering, they were subjected to various Photoshop filters and effects to produce new images that Mills felt captured the essence of My Bloody Valentine’s immersive textured soundscapes and mirrored their unorthodox ways of working.
